Operation When Intelligent Key Is Carried

  1. Carry a registered Intelligent Key into the vehicle, and press the push button.
  2. When electronic ignition switch control unit detects that push button is pressed, it transmits the push switch signal to Intelligent Key control unit.
  3. When Intelligent Key unit receives the push switch signal, it activates the inside key antenna and transmits the request signal to Intelligent key.
  4. If the Intelligent Key is within the inside key antenna detection area, it receives the request signal and transmits the key ID signal to the Intelligent Key unit via window antenna and remote keyless entry receiver.
  5. Intelligent Key control unit transmits key ID signal to ignition switch control unit via CAN communication.
  6. When electronic ignition switch control unit receives the key ID signal, it transmits the engine start signal to ECM and then starts the engine.
