Diagnostic Test
- CHECK EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR CONNECTOR
- Disconnect EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector.
- Check that water is not inside connectors.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair or replace harness connector.
- CHECK EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-I
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector and ground.
EVAP control system pressure sensor Ground Voltage (V) Connector Terminal C17 3 Ground Approx. 5
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 6.
NO
GO TO STEP 3 .
- CHECK EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-II
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect ECM harness connector.
- Check the continuity between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector.
EVAP control system pressure sensor ECM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal C17 3 E20 125 Existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 5 .
NO
GO TO STEP 4 .
- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
Check the following.
- Harness for open between ECM and EVAP control system pressure sensor
- Loose or poor connection for each connector and harness
Repair open circuit.
- CHECK SENSOR POWER SUPPLY 3 CIRCUIT
Perform DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Perform the trouble diagnosis for power supply circuit. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- CHECK EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN AND SHORT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect ECM harness connector.
- Check the continuity between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector.
EVAP control system pressure sensor ECM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal C17 1 E20 148 Existed - Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 8 .
NO
GO TO STEP 7 .
- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
Check the following.
- Harness for open or short between EVAP control system pressure sensor and ECM
- Loose or poor connection for each connector and harness
Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
- CHECK EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN AND SHORT
- Check the continuity between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector.
EVAP control system pressure sensor ECM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal C17 2 E20 121 Existed - Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 10 .
NO
GO TO STEP 9 .
- Check the continuity between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector.
- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
Check the following.
- Harness for open or short between EVAP control system pressure sensor and ECM
- Loose or poor connection for each connector and harness
Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
- CHECK EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR
Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION (EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR) .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 11 .
NO
Replace EVAP control system pressure sensor. Refer to EXPLODED VIEW WITH TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
