Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect electric throttle control actuator harness connector.
    3. Check the resistance between electric throttle control actuator terminals as per the following.
      Terminals Resistance
      5 and 6 Approx. 1 - 15 Ω [at 25°C (77°F)]

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    INSPECTION END

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

  2. REPLACE ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL ACTUATOR

    1. Replace electric throttle control actuator. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
    2. Perform SPECIAL REPAIR REQUIREMENT .

    INSPECTION END
