Work Procedure (Radar Alignment): Description
The radar alignment is performed automatically with CONSULT.
CAUTION:
Perform all necessary work for radar alignment until the adjustment completes as shown in the procedure. If the procedure does not complete, the FEB system is inoperable.
- PERFORM RADAR ALIGNMENT
- Start the engine.
- Connect CONSULT and select "Work support" of "ICC sensor".
- Select "Calibration of long range radar" after the "Work support" screen is displayed.NOTE: Confirm the following items;
- The target should be accurately placed.
- The vehicle should be stopped.
- Select "Start" after the "Calibration of long range radar" screen is displayed.NOTE: If the adjustment screen does not appear or an error appears within approximately 10 seconds after "Calibration of long range radar" is selected, the following causes are possible.
- The ICC target board is not installed in the correct position.
- Adequate space is not secured around the ICC target board.
- The radar alignment procedure exceeds its proper installation range.
- Deformation of vehicle body.
- Deformation of unit.
- Deformation of bracket.
- The area is not suitable for the adjustment work.
- Front emblem (ICC sensor view) is not clean.
- ICC system malfunction is displayed.
GO TO 2.
- RADAR ALIGNMENT
- Once the radar alignment procedure is started, you will be prompted by the CONSULT for the next instruction is displayed on the CONSULT screen.
- Check ICC target board position (vertical position).

- Following instructions to perform physical adjustment to the sensor which may include turning the screw driver (special tool) by a specified number of turns counter-clockwise
or clockwise
as specified on CONSULT.
CAUTION: Be careful not to cover the front side of the ICC sensor with a hand or any other body part during adjustment.NOTE: Reading on the CONSULT is not real-time and not automatically update while turning the tool. To check the angle, end the alignment and restart the procedure.
