Removal and Installation: Removal

CAUTION: When replacing electronic stability program control unit, the calibration of electronic stability program control unit is required. Refer to Description .

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Remove air cleaner housing assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Disconnect electronic stability program control unit harness connector , follow the procedure described below.

CAUTION:
- The following procedure for disconnecting the electronic stability program control unit harness connector must be followed. Otherwise, damage may be caused to the locking mechanism.
- Never touch, deform or damage electronic stability program control unit harness connector and of socket on electronic stability program control unit.
- Never allow any foreign objects, dirt or fluids to enter the socket or electronic stability program control unit harness connector. Otherwise, the electronic stability program control unit will be damaged and malfunction.
NOTE: Clean electronic stability program control unit and electronic stability program control unit harness connector in the area, using a [assembly cleaner (Adolf Wrth GmbH & Co.KG), or equivalent].
1. Push the pawl .
2. Move the lever in the direction by approx. 90 degrees.
  CAUTION: Never use tool.
3. Disconnect electronic stability program control unit harness connector.
  CAUTION: Never handle the connector by lever. The lever can otherwise be damaged.
4. Move the lever downward until locked.
Remove mounting bolts of electronic stability program control unit from traction system hydraulic unit .

CAUTION: Never touch the contact areas or sealing silicone of electronic stability program control unit either with hands or with tools.
