Diagnosis Procedure

Check the following.

• Proper fuel filler cap is used.
• Fuel filler cap installation condition
• Foreign matter is not attached.

YES

GO TO 2.

NO

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

With CONSULT

1. Start the engine and let it idle.
2. On CONSULT screen, select "ENGINE" >> "DATA MONITOR".
3. Set the vehicle to the following conditions.

   Item	Condition
   COOLANT TEMPERATURE	More than 90 deg.C (194 deg.F)
   intake air temperature	More than 42 deg.C (107.6 deg.F)
   Fill level in fuel tank NOTE: The Vehicle must not be refueled shortly before the test	Between 30% and 90%

4. On CONSULT screen, select "ENGINE" >> "ACTIVE TEST" >> "CHECK LEAK TEST OF FUEL TANK".
5. Perform Active Test.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3.

NO

Perform trouble diagnosis for the detected DTC. Refer to DTC Index .

1. Erase the DTC.
2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.
3. Start the engine and let it idle for 60 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch OFF.
5. Turn ignition switch ON.
6. Check DTC.

Is the DTC detected again?

YES

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident .

NO

INSPECTION END
