Diagnosis Procedure

  1. ADJUST THE NEUTRAL POSITION OF THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 

    When U0428 is detected, adjust the neutral position of the steering angle sensor.

    Perform adjustment of the neutral position of the steering angle sensor. Refer to Work Procedure .

    CAUTION: For vehicles with VDC, adjust the steering angle sensor neutral position on the ABS actuator control unit side.

    GO TO 2.

  2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN 

    Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to DTC Description .

    Is DTC U0428 detected again?

    YES

    Replace steering angle sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    INSPECTION END
