Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CAMERA IMAGE SIGNAL

Turn ignition switch ON.
Shift the selector lever to "R" position.

Check the signal between display control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace display control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .

GO TO 2.

CHECK CAMERA IMAGE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect display control unit connector and rear view camera harness connector.

Check the continuity between display control unit harness connector and rear view camera harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3.

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK CAMERA IMAGE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT

Check the continuity between display control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 4.

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK CAMERA IMAGE SIGNAL GROUND CIRCUIT

Check the continuity between display control unit harness connector and rear view camera harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace rear view camera. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
