When a DTC is stored in ECM

the DTCs must first be erased by the CONSULT from the normal malfunction memory. After that perform the driving condition to reach the test prerequisites for the DTCs so the OBD-System can confirm that the malfunction is no longer present. Only then it will delete the malfunction from the permanent DTC memory. (For details, refer to Work Procedure .)
