Residual Heat Utilization Function (For MEXICO)

Pressing the REST switch on the A/C control switches ON the residual heat utilization function.

The A/C auto amp. actuates the coolant circulation pump directly. The coolant circulation pump delivers the still warm (residual heat) coolant through the heater core.

At the same time, the A/C auto amp. actuates the blower regulator via climate control LIN, which then actuates the blower motor at low speed. The intake air from the blower motor is routed past the heater core and heated up in the process.

The function is terminated after a time of 30 minutes. has elapsed or when the battery voltage drops below a certain value.
