Activate And Deactivate Function Sequence
Additional Function Requirements For Activation And Deactivation
- Self-test completed successfully
- Transmission not in gear range "D" or "R" engaged
NOTE:
If the parking brake is activated and gear range "N" is engaged, the sonar system is active for t = 2 s before it is automatically switched off. The electric parking brake control unit sends the status of the parking brake via the CAN communication to the sonar control unit.
Deactivate And Activate Function Sequence
The sonar system can be manually deactivated or activated by pressing the sonar system switch in the upper control panel. The upper control panel control unit reads in the status of the sonar system switch directly and sends it to the sonar control unit via the battery sensor LIN, BCM, electronic ignition switch control unit and CAN communication.
NOTE:
If the sonar system function has been switched off manually using the sonar system switch, it is automatically switched on again when ignition switch is activated again.
- When the sonar system is deactivated, only the LED in the sonar system switch lights up.
- In driving operation, the sonar system switches into "Standby mode" between v = 60 and 16 km/h (37 and 10 MPH), i.e. the sonar control unit and the sonar sensors are supplied with power.
