Function Sequence For Automatic Switch Off
The heated seat timer control is controlled by the driver seat control unit or the front passenger seat control unit.
- Heating stage 3 is active for 8 minutes. The system then automatically switches to heating stage 2.
- Heating stage 2 is active for 10 minutes. The system then automatically switches to heating stage 1.
- Heating stage 1 is active for 20 minutes. The system then automatically switches OFF.
Other Shutoff Criteria:
Ignition switch ACC -> OFF:
- When ignition switch is turned from ACC to OFF, the timer control continues to run for 5 minutes. When ignition switch is switched to ACC, heated seat system also switches ON again.
During engine starting procedure:
- Heated seat system is switched OFF, But the timer control continues to run, and the indicator remains switched ON.
Deactivation with under voltage or over voltage:
- If heated seat system is switched OFF due to on-board electrical system under voltage or over voltage, the indicator remains switched ON for 3 minutes. During these 3 minutes if on-board electrical system reaches its normal voltage, heated seat system is automatically reactivated. After these 3 minutes indicator switches OFF. If shutoff condition continues and heated seat switch is pressed again the indicator illuminates for 1.5 seconds and then turns OFF.
Shutoff for over temperature of PCBs in driver seat control unit or in front passenger seat control unit:
- Heating stage 3 can no longer be activated if the PCB temperature is over 90 deg.C (194 deg.F).
- Heating stage 3 and stage 2 can no longer be activated if the PCB temperature is over 100 deg.C (212 deg.F).
- The heated seat system can no longer be activated if the PCB temperature is over 110 deg.C (230 deg.F).
