System Description

The engine start function of Intelligent Key system makes it possible to start and stop the engine without using the key, based on the electronic ID verification. The electronic ID verification is performed between Intelligent Key unit and Intelligent Key when the push button is pressed while the Intelligent Key is within the detection area of inside key antenna.
NOTE: The driver should carry the Intelligent Key at all times.
Press the Intelligent Key lock button twice in rapid succession, the communication between the Intelligent Key and the vehicle is disabled.

Once press any button on the Intelligent Key, the Intelligent Key is activated again.
Intelligent Key have key ID. It can perform the door lock/unlock operation and the push button operation when the registered Intelligent Key is carried.
NOTE: Refer to System Description for any functions other than engine start function of Intelligent Key system.
If the ID is successfully verified, when engine can be started.
For registration of Intelligent Keys, perform procedure according to the instructions displayed on the CONSULT monitor.
