Function Sequence For Permanent Limiter

The maximum speed of the vehicle can be limited in steps of 10 km/h (6.2 MPH) from 160 km/h (99.4 MPH) to km/h up to the maximum speed.

Adjustment of the maximum speed takes place in the menu "Settings", "Vehicle" and "Limitation (winter tires)" in the combination meter.

To do this the combination meter sends the set maximum speed via CAN communication, electronic ignition lock control unit and CAN communication to the ICC sensor.

NOTE: With ICC models: The combination meter sends the set maximum speed via CAN communication, electronic ignition lock control unit and CAN communication to the ICC sensor.

Approximately 10 km/h (6.2 MPH) before reaching the set maximum speed a message appears in the combination meter multifunction display that indicates a maximum speed limitation.

To do this The ICC sensor sends the request to output this message via CAN communication, electronic ignition lock control unit and CAN communication to the combination meter.

NOTE: The DISTRONIC controller unit transmits the respective request via CAN communication to the combination meter.

The driver can accelerate the vehicle up to the set maximum speed.
