Disassembly and Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove cover.
  2. Using suitable tool remove the differential side oil seal.
  3. Install puller (A) [SST: KV315H0510 (TechMate No. -) (DAIMLER tool No. 724 589 01 33 00)] to sensor rotor SYMBOL .

    : Nut 1

    : Nut 3
  4. Fix nut 1 SYMBOL , then using suitable tool, remove the sensor rotor SYMBOL mounting nut by turning nut 3 SYMBOL .

  5. Fix nut 1, then using suitable tool, remove the sensor rotor by turning nut 2.
  6. Install removal and installation tool (B) [SST: KV315H0480 (TechMate No. -) (DAIMLER tool No. 724 589 00 63 00)] to transaxle case SYMBOL .

  7. Install sleeve (A) to oil pump shaft.
  8. Remove oil pump SYMBOL from transaxle case.
  9. Remove permanent magnet.
  10. Remove park pawl lift solenoid.
  11. Remove bearing bracket mounting bolt.
  12. Remove lock pawl pin, coil spring, bearing bracket, and lock pawl as a unit.
  13. Install removal and installation tool (B) [SST: KV315H0470 (TechMate No. -) (DAIMLER tool No. 724 589 00 59 00)] to transaxle case.
  14. Remove cover.
  15. Remove snap ring of park pawl actuator.
  16. Remove pin of park pawl actuator.
  17. Using bolt (M5) remove lock pin of park pawl actuator.
  18. Remove park pawl actuator from transaxle case.
  19. Remove compression spring.
  20. Using puller (B), remove bearing SYMBOL with putting the remover (A) at the gap between bearing and transaxle housing SYMBOL .

  21. Remove oil duct SYMBOL .
  22. Using puller, remove bearing SYMBOL with putting the remover at the gap between bearing and transaxle case.
  23. Remove oil duct SYMBOL .

  24. Using puller (B), remove bearing SYMBOL with putting the remover (A) at the gap between bearing and transaxle case SYMBOL .
  25. Remove oil duct SYMBOL .
  26. Using puller, remove bearing SYMBOL with putting the remover at the gap between bearing and transaxle case.
  27. Remove snap ring, and remove ball bearing SYMBOL .
  28. Remove air breather.
