DTC Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ELECTRIC SHIFT CONTROL MODULE AND MOTOR COIL A
- Ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the electric shift control module connector.
- Disconnect the shift actuator connector.
- Check the continuity electric shift control module vehicle side harness connector terminals and shift actuator vehicle side harness connector terminals.

NO
Repair or replace damaged parts.
- CHECK SHIFT ACTUATOR RELAY A
Check the shift actuator relay A. Refer to Component Inspection (Shift Actuator Relay A) .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 3.
NO
Replace the shift actuator relay A.
- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN SHIFT ACTUATOR RELAY A AND BATTERY
Check the voltage shift actuator relay vehicle side harness connector terminal and ground.

- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEMS
Check the following items:
- Harness for short or open between shift actuator relay A and battery
- Battery
- 20A fuse (#87, fuse, located in the fusible link, and relay box) (Refer to Terminal Arrangement .)
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
INSPECTION END
NO
Repair or replace damaged parts.
- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN SHIFT ACTUATOR AND SHIFT ACTUATOR RELAY A
Check the continuity shift actuator vehicle side harness connector terminal and shift actuator relay vehicle side harness connector terminal.

Check the motor coil A (shift actuator). Refer to Component Inspection (Motor Coil A) .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
INSPECTION END
NO
Replace the transaxle assembly due to malfunction in the motor coil A (shift actuator). Refer to Remove and Installation .
