DTC Diagnosis Procedure

  1. DETERMINE MALFUNCTION TYPE 
    1. SYMBOL CONSULT
      1. Ignition switch ON.
      2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 4 minutes or more.
      3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 1 minute or more.
      4. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "MULTI AV".
      5. Check DTC.

    Is DTC B1F10-01, 11, 12 or 13 detected?

    YES>>

    13 [OPEN], or 11 [GND-SHORT] - GO TO 2.

    YES>>

    01 [SHORT] - GO TO 3.

    YES>>

    12 [VB-SHOR] - GO TO 4.

    NO>>

    Refer to Intermittent Incident .

  2. CHECK ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL MICROPHONE LH (FRONT) SIGNAL CIRCUITS FOR OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Disconnect Bose speaker amp. connector and active noise control microphone LH (front) connector.
      3. Check the continuity between Bose speaker amp. connector and active noise control microphone LH (front) connector.
        Bose speaker amp. Active noise control microphone LH (front) Continuity

      4. Check the continuity between Bose speaker amp. connector and ground.
        Bose speaker amp.   Continuity

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 5.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  3. CHECK ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL MICROPHONE LH (FRONT) SIGNAL CIRCUITS FOR SHORT 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Disconnect Bose speaker amp. connector and active noise control microphone LH (front) connector.
      3. Check the continuity between the terminals of Bose speaker amp. connector.
        Bose speaker amp. Continuity
        Connector Terminal
        M179 69 49 No

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 5.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  4. CHECK ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL MICROPHONE LH (FRONT) SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Disconnect Bose speaker amp. connector and active noise control microphone LH (front) connector.
      3. Ignition switch ON.
      4. Check the voltage between Bose speaker amp. connector and ground.
        Bose speaker amp. Ground Voltage(Approx.)
        Connector Terminal
        M179 69 - 0 V
        49

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 5.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  5. CHECK ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL MICROPHONE LH (FRONT) SIGNAL 
      1. Connect Bose speaker amp. connector and active noise control microphone LH (front) connector.
      2. Ignition switch ON.
      3. Press audio unit POWER switch.
      4. Check signal between the terminals of Bose speaker amp. connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Replace active noise control microphone LH (front). Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO>>

    Replace Bose speaker amp. Refer to Removal and Installation .
