DTC DETECTION LOGIC

C13DE-00	TEMPERATURE SENSOR(Temperature sensor)	1	Diagnosis condition	When engine running.
			Signal (terminal)	Force motor temperature sensor signal
			Threshold	Control module detects that the internal temperature in steering force motor is less than <-58°F (-50°C) temperature.
			Diagnosis delay time	1 second or more
		2	Diagnosis condition	When engine running.
			Signal (terminal)	Force motor temperature sensor signal
			Threshold	Control module detects that the internal temperature in steering force motor is less than 482°F (250°C) < temperature.
			Diagnosis delay time	1 second or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Force motor temperature sensor (included in force motor angle sensor)
Sensor circuit (between steering force control module and force motor angle sensor) is open or short.

FAIL-SAFE

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PRECONDITIONING
1. If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" has been previously conducted, always place ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

DTC REPRODUCTION PROCEDURE
1. CONSULT
  1. Start the engine.
    CAUTION:
    Never drive the vehicle.
  2. Turn the steering wheel.
  3. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "EPS/DAST 3".
Is DTC "C13DE-00" detected?

YES>>

Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

NO>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident .

NO>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End
