DTC Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY 
    1. If DTC "C1A40-23" or "C1A40-24" is displayed with DTC "U1000-01", first diagnose the DTC "U1000-01".

    Is applicable DTC detected?

    YES>>

    Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC Description .

    NO>>

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ADAS CONTROL UNIT AND WARNING SYSTEM SWITCH 
      1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
      2. Disconnect following connectors.
        • ADAS control unit
        • Steering assist switch
      3. Check for continuity between ADAS control unit harness connector and Steering assist switch harness connector.
        ADAS control unit Steering assist switch Continuity
        Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
        M258 18 M256 1 Existed
      4. Check for continuity between ADAS control unit harness connector and ground.
        ADAS control unit Ground Continuity
        Connector Terminal
        M258 18 Not existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 4.

    NO>>

    Repair the harnesses or connectors.

  3. STEERING ASSIST SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT 
    1. Check for continuity between Steering assist switch harness connector and ground.
      Steering assist switch Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M250 6 Existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 5.

    NO>>

    Repair the harnesses or connectors.

  4. CHECK STEERING ASSIST SWITCH 
      1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
      2. Disconnect steering assist switch harness connector.
      3. Check warning system switch. Refer to Intermittent Incident .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Repair the ADAS control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO>>

    Replace the steering assist switch. Refer to Removal and Installation .
