System Description
- By operating the drive mode select switch, the driving mode of PERSONAL, SPORT, STANDARD / AUTO, ECO, and SNOW can be selected.
- The drive mode selector changes the driving mode of following system.
- Power train
- Steering
- Active trace control
- Brake control system
- AWD function
- Driver assistant system

CONTROL DESCRIPTION
- Drive mode selector switches driving mode by drive mode select switch installed on center console finisher.
- Drive mode selector starts from STANDARD/AUTO mode when the ignition switch ON.
- The vehicle characteristic can be set as following table in information display by the operation of the steering switch. The driver can drive the vehicle with the vehicle characteristics set by selecting PERSONAL with the drive mode select switch.NOTE:
PERSONAL mode setting is linked with Log-in function.

PERSONAL This mode is used for adjusting drive modes. Turn the PERSONAL mode off for normal driving. SPORT - Adjusts the engine points for a higher response.
- The setting of the steering system is adjusted to moderately increase steering wheel effort for a sporty feel.
ECO Assists the driver's eco-driving. The engine points are adjusted for improved fuel economy, providing such a driving features as smooth starting or constant cruising. SNOW This mode makes it easier to start and drive on snowy roads and frozen roads. - For relationship between drive mode and each control item, refer to the following table.

ENGINE CHARACTERISTICS
- The engine output characteristics when a mode is switched with the drive mode select switch is as follows.
Drive mode select switch Engine output PERSONAL Depends on settings of "Acceleration" performed on the PERSONAL setting screen. SPORT Accelerator opening characteristics is more aggressive. STANDARD / AUTO Normal ECO Accelerator opening characteristics is more passive. SNOW Accelerator opening characteristics is more passive. NOTE:After switching mode to a mode that engine output increase, engine output characteristics are changed after releasing the accelerator pedal.
STEERING CHARACTERISTICS
- The steering characteristics when a mode is switched with the drive mode select switch is as follows.
Drive mode select switch Steering status PERSONAL Depends on settings of "Steering" performed on the PERSONAL setting screen. SPORT Heavy STANDARD / AUTO Normal ECO Normal SNOW Normal NOTE:Steering characteristics change after mode switching when the steering angle is near the neutral position and the steering wheel is not turning.

- The active trace control characteristics when a mode is switched with the drive mode select switch is as follows.
