Removal and Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  2. Remove wheel and tire (LH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Partially remove front half of fender protector (LH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  4. Disconnect harness connector from electric intake valve timing control module.
    CAUTION:

    Do not touch harness connector pins with bare hands.

  5. Remove electric intake valve timing control module.
  6. If necessary, remove electric intake valve timing control module bracket.

INSTALLATION 

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Perform ELECTRIC IVT CONTROL ACTUATOR POSITION LEARNING. Refer to Description .
