Component Inspection
- CHECK CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR-I
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Loosen the fixing bolt of the sensor.
- Disconnect crankshaft position sensor harness connector.
- Remove the sensor.
- Visually check the sensor for chipping.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>
GO TO 2.
NO>>
Replace crankshaft position sensor. Refer to DRIVE PLATE : Exploded View .
- CHECK CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR-II
Check resistance between crankshaft position sensor terminals as per the following.
Terminals (Polarity) Resistance 1 (+) - 2 (-) Except 0 or ∞Ω [at 25°C (77°F)] 1 (+) - 3 (-) 2 (+) - 3 (-) Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>
INSPECTION END
NO>>
Replace crankshaft position sensor. Refer to DRIVE PLATE : Exploded View .
