Checking Fluid Level

  1. Park vehicle on level surface, place selector lever in "P" position, set parking brake and run engine to operating temperature. Apply brake pedal. Move shift lever through each gear. Place shift lever in "P" position.
  2. With engine idling, clean dipstick and insert. Remove dipstick and check level reading. Fluid level should be between dimples of "HOT" range. If not, add ATF as necessary to bring fluid to proper level.
