Throttle Position Switch: Adjustments

1. Check to see that TPS bracket attaching bolt is secured tightly.
2. Ensure there is no play in the TPS arm and primary throttle valve arm.
3. Connect a suitable ohmmeter to the green and black wires of the TPS.
4. Open throttle lever approximately 1/3 the way, then gradually close lever. Check for continuity when primary throttle valve reaches 18° (from horizontal plane) on automatic transmission models or 16° (from horizontal plane) on manual transmission models.
