July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Power Mirror Switch Circuit

  1. Disconnect switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between switch connector (harness side) terminals No. 1 and 3, terminals No. 2 and 3, terminals No. 3 and 4, and terminals No. 3 and 5. SeeFigure . Continuity should exist at all terminals.
  2. Using a DVOM, check voltage between ground and switch connector terminal No. 7, with ignition switch in ACC position. Battery voltage should be present.
  3. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between switch connector terminal No. 3 and ground, and terminal No. 8 and ground. Continuity should not exist at terminal No. 3, but should exist at terminal No. 8. If switch wiring circuit does not test as previously described, repair appropriate wiring circuit as necessary.
