Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor
The nonadjustable throttle shaft-driven TP sensor is mounted on the upper manifold assembly opposite the throttle cam lever. The TP sensor senses the throttle valve angle and relays the information to the PCM. position of throttle angle is one of the inputs needed by the PCM to calculate the required fuel injector control signals (pulses).
