Circuit Description

A/C refrigerant pressure sensor responds to changes in A/C refrigerant high side pressure. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) supplies a 5-volt reference and a ground circuit to the pressure sensor. Pressure sensor operating range is zero-450 psi. At zero psi, signal voltage should be about .1 volt. At 450 psi or more, signal voltage should be about 4.9 volts.

Conditions for setting this DTC are as follows:

• Intake air temperature is more than 32°F (0°C).
• No presence of Codes: P0112, P0113.
• A/C pressure sensor signal is more than 4.90 volts with A/C on.
• A/C pressure sensor signal is more than 3.98 volts with A/C off.
