It is important that when diagnosing problems with the fuel injection system that particular attention is paid to the EFI harness ground point at the rear of the water rail next to the air injection switching temperature sensor.
Sometimes overlooked is an additional ground point on the cylinder head to the rear of the water rail. This incorporates a braided link wire from the water rail ground together with a separate ground wire for the coolant temperature sensor.
Poor contact at either of these ground points can be responsible for intermittant faults in the fuel injection system.
