Voltage Signal: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Permits ECM adjustment of injector "ON" time to compensate for electrical system voltage fluctuations.

OPERATION
Because time needed for injectors to open is affected by voltage and results in a corresponding change in quantity of fuel delivered, the ECM constantly monitors electrical system voltages and compensates for fluctuations by adjusting injector "ON" time accordingly. Voltage input is from the main relay.
