4.2L, Vehicles With: Supercharger

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

Removal
1. Release the cooling system pressure.
- Remove the coolant expansion tank pressure cap.






2. Remove the engine cover.






3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.






4. Remove the ECT sensor.
- Remove and discard the ECT sensor sealing washer.

Installation






1. Install a new ECT sensor sealing washer.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten to 17 Nm.

2. Fill the cooling system up to the MAX mark on the coolant expansion tank.
