DTC P07D4-07: Transmission Mode Switch "F" Circuit - Mechanical failures: Action
NOTE:
The required repair is dependent on mileage, software, and oil condition
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Read all Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and make a note of the conditions under which the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) were set
- Check the automatic transmission serial number: if the serial number is less than 91782, install a new automatic transmission. If the serial number is greater than 91781, follow the procedure below
- Check the transmission fluid level using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to run the 9-speed ZF - Automatic Transmission Fluid Level Check Application. Refer to the relevant article of the workshop service information and check the automatic transmission fluid quality For additional information, refer to: TRANSMISSION OIL COLOR CHART .
- If the fluid condition is unsatisfactory, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and perform a road test using all gears
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, reconfigure the transmission control module with the latest level
- If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
