DTC U0046-81: Vehicle Communication Bus C - Invalid serial data received: Action
NOTE:
- Do NOT replace any ECU's just on the basis of this DTC
- Do NOT replace the steering gear for this DTC
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the snapshot data to determine the invalid data source control module (using the D020 table in article 211-00), check other modules for the same DTC indicating a fault in the wiring harness and/or incompatibility in the software versions
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the high speed CAN bus (chassis) circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the snapshot data to determine the invalid data source control module (using the D020 table in article 211-00). Check the relevant control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
