Electronic Control Unit

The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is located under the instrument panel, between steering column and heater A/C housing. The ECU is a digital microprocessor. Air/fuel mixture calibrations for various driving and atmospheric conditions are preprogrammed into the ECU. The ECU monitors and analyzes its various inputs, computes engine fuel and ignition timing requirements based on these inputs, and controls fuel delivery and ignition timing accordingly.
