Oxygen Sensor

Sensor is located in the exhaust manifold and monitors oxygen content in exhaust gas. Sensor transmits this information by generating input voltage to ECU. ECU uses information to vary air/fuel mixture accordingly. Oxygen sensor may also contain an internal heating element in order to reach operating temperature earlier. This element is controlled by the ECU through an oxygen sensor heater relay.
