Centrifugal Advance Check
- Disconnect vacuum hose from vacuum advance mechanism and plug. Connect timing light to No. 1 spark plug and tachometer to ignition coil TACH terminal.
- Start engine and observe timing while engine is idle. Slowly increase engine speed to 2000 RPM. timing should advance smoothly as engine speed increases.
