Test 8E - Repairing Short To Ground In Panel LTS Feed CKT

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article in this section.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove park light relay from relay block. Using DRB in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of fused positive battery circuit (Pink/Red wire) at park light relay connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Pink/Red wire and replace fuse No. 2. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance across park light relay terminals. See Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace park light relay and fuse No. 2. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If resistance is more than 10 ohms, go to next step.

  3. Install park light relay. Ensure park light switch is on. Remove and inspect fuse No. 2 in fuse block. If fuse is open, repair short to ground in Black/Yellow wire from relay block. replace fuse No. 2. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If fuse is okay, test is complete.
