Test 8E - Repairing Short To Ground In Panel LTS Feed CKT
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
article in this section.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition off. Remove park light relay from relay block. Using DRB in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of fused positive battery circuit (Pink/Red wire) at park light relay connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Pink/Red wire and replace fuse No. 2. Perform TEST VER-1B . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance across park light relay terminals. See Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace park light relay and fuse No. 2. Perform TEST VER-1B . If resistance is more than 10 ohms, go to next step.
- Install park light relay. Ensure park light switch is on. Remove and inspect fuse No. 2 in fuse block. If fuse is open, repair short to ground in Black/Yellow wire from relay block. replace fuse No. 2. Perform TEST VER-1B . If fuse is okay, test is complete.
