Test 4A - Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC) Problems

  1. Identify faulty area of instrument cluster and perform corresponding test(s). See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TROUBLE CODES TABLE 2  .
    INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TROUBLE CODES

    Trouble Code Perform TEST
    Faulty Speedometer Or Odometer TEST 4B - EIC 
    Faulty Switch (Trip, US/Metric Or Reset) TEST 4C - EIC 
    Faulty Gauge(s) TEST 5A - EIC 
    Faulty Warning Light TEST 7A - EIC 
    Faulty Cluster Illumination TEST 8A - EIC 
  2. If problem exists in area of instrument cluster other than those listed in INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TROUBLE CODES table, use DRB to select EIC SEQUENTIAL LEGENDS test. If any legends of EIC fail to illuminate or 2 segments illuminate at the same time (test fails), replace EIC. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If test passes, system is operating properly at this time. Perform TEST VER-1B  .
