Manifold Absolute Pressure (Map) Sensor

  1. Inspect MAP sensor vacuum hose connections at throttle body and sensor. Replace or repair vacuum hose if necessary. Turn ignition on, with engine off. DO NOT disconnect MAP sensor connector.
  2. Using DVOM, measure voltage between terminals "A" (ground circuit) and "B" (supply circuit) at MAP sensor connector. See Fig 1 . Voltage should be 4-5 volts. If voltage is 4-5 volts, replace MAP sensor. If voltage is not 4-5 volts, repair wiring harness as necessary.
