Manifold Absolute Pressure (Map) Sensor
- Inspect MAP sensor vacuum hose connections at throttle body and sensor. Replace or repair vacuum hose if necessary. Turn ignition on, with engine off. DO NOT disconnect MAP sensor connector.
- Using DVOM, measure voltage between terminals "A" (ground circuit) and "B" (supply circuit) at MAP sensor connector. See Fig 1
. Voltage should be 4-5 volts. If voltage is 4-5 volts, replace MAP sensor. If voltage is not 4-5 volts, repair wiring harness as necessary.
