Power Door Lock Test 2B - Left Front Door Fails To Lock & Unlock

NOTE: Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 1A  before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM. See KEYLESS ENTRY & POWER DOOR LOCKS article. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Disconnect left front door lock motor connector. Connect test light between door lock motor connector terminals. Using scan tool, actuate left lock relay. If test light flashes when left lock relay is actuated, replace left door lock motor. If test light does not flash when left lock relay is actuated, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool set in ohmmeter mode, backprobe driver's door module 12-pin connector terminal No. 6 (Orange/Violet wire). See Fig 1 . If resistance is more than 20 ohms, replace driver's door module. If resistance is 20 ohms or less, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, backprobe driver's door module 12-pin connector terminal No. 5 (Pink/Black wire). If resistance is more than 20 ohms, replace driver's door module. If resistance is 20 ohms or less, go to next step.
  4. Using test light, backprobe driver's door module 12-pin connector terminal No. 6 (Orange/Violet wire). Using scan tool, actuate left door lock relay. If test light does not flash when left door lock relay is actuated, replace driver's door module. If test light flashes when left door lock relay is actuated, go to next step.
  5. Using test light, backprobe driver's door module 12-pin connector terminal No. 5 (Pink/Black wire). Using scan tool, actuate left door unlock relay. If test light does not flash when left door unlock relay is actuated, replace driver's door module. If test light flashes when left door unlock relay is actuated, go to next step.
  6. Using test light, probe left door lock motor connector Orange/Violet wire. Using scan tool, actuate left door lock relay. If test light does not flash when left door lock relay is actuated, repair open in Orange/Violet wire. If test light flashes when left door lock relay is actuated, repair open in left front door driver circuit (Pink/Black wire).
