Test 13C - Bus Short To 5 Volts

  1. Turn ignition off. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) head connector, terminals C8 (Brown/White wire) and C10 (Violet/Brown wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Brown/White wire and Violet/Brown wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  2. Measure resistance between ATC connector, terminals C8 (Brown/White wire) and C11 (White/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Brown/White wire and White/Black wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace ATC head.
NOTE: For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM  . After each repair, perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
