Test NTC-15A - Checking Intake Air Temperature Sensor
NOTE:
Ensure engine is off and ignition is on. Perform following steps within 5 minutes of each other.
- Using scan tool, read and record Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor reading. Turn ignition off. Remove IAT sensor. Go to next step.
- Using temperature probe, measure temperature inside IAT sensor opening. If temperature probe reading is not within 10°F of scan tool reading, replace IAT sensor and perform TEST VER-2A. If temperature probe reading is within 10°F of scan tool reading, reinstall IAT sensor. IAT system is operating properly. Test passed.
