Test TC-35B - No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal

NOTE: Perform TEST TC-35A before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION DIRECTORY. For component location see wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS article.

Connect a jumper wire to VSS connector, signal circuit (White/Orange wire). Using scan tool, read VSS signal. Momentarily touch other end of jumper wire to ground while monitoring VSS signal. If scan tool displays more than zero MPH, repair open ground circuit and perform TEST VER-2A. If scan tool displays zero MPH, replace powertrain control module and perform TEST VER-2A.
