Information Center Test 8A - Turn Signal On Message

NOTE: Perform INFORMATION CENTER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Refer to DOOR LOCKS - POWER & KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM article. After each repair, perform TEST VER-1A  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. If TURN SIGNAL ON message is displayed when vehicle is not moving, replace information center. If TURN SIGNAL ON message is displayed when vehicle is moving, go to next step.
  2. Ensure all turn signals are working correctly. Repair as needed. Ensure speedometer is operating correctly. If speedometer is working correctly, go to next step. If speedometer is not working correctly, go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TEST 1A  . Go to next step.
  3. Disconnect information center 20-pin connector. Using test light, probe terminal No. 4 (Orange/Black wire) on information center connector. Turn on left turn signal. If test light pulses on and off, go to next step. If test light does not pulse, repair Orange/Black wire as needed.
  4. Turn on right turn signal. If test light pulses on and off, replace information center. If test light does not pulse, repair Orange/Black wire as needed.
