Test 6A - No Response From Driver Door Module

  1. Remove junction block circuit breaker No. 2 (30-amp). Junction block is behind right kick panel. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage on battery supply voltage side of circuit breaker socket. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open battery supply circuit. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  2. Replace circuit beaker with known-good component. If circuit breaker cycles on and off, repair component side of circuit breaker socket for short to ground. If circuit breaker does not cycle on and off, go to next step.
  3. Determine if scan tool still displays NO RESPONSE from driver door module. If scan tool does not display NO RESPONSE, inspect component side circuit of circuit breaker No. 4 for intermittent short circuit. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, go to next step.
  4. Disconnect driver door module 12-pin connector. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 12 (Tan wire) on driver door module connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Tan wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  5. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 7 (Black wire) on driver door module connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  6. Connect jumper between ground and terminal No. 8 (Violet/Brown wire) on driver door module connector. Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open Violet/Brown wire. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, go to next step.
  7. Connect jumper between ground and terminal No. 9 (White/Black wire) on driver door module connector. Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open White/Black wire. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, replace driver door module.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . After each repair, perform TEST VER-1A  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
