CMTC Displays SC

  1. Disconnect ambient temperature sensor connector. Sensor is located behind front bumper (right center). Turn ignition on. Observe CMTC display. If CMTC displays OC, replace ambient temperature sensor. If CMTC does not display OC, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect CMTC harness connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 4 (Violet/Light Green wire) on CMTC harness connector. If resistance is less than 25 ohms, repair sensor signal circuit for short to ground. If resistance is 25 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  3. Measure resistance at terminal No. 10 (Black/Light Blue wire) on CMTC connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Black/Light Blue wire for short to ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace CMTC module.
