Washer Runs All The Time With Ignition On

  1. Turn ignition off. Ensure washer switch is in OFF position. Disconnect right multifunction switch connector. See Figure. Turn ignition on. If washer continues to operate, go to next step. If washer stops operating, replace right multifunction switch. See appropriate STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector C2. See Figure. Turn ignition on. If washer continues to operate, go to next step. If washer stops operating, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  3. Repair short to voltage in Brown wire (washer control switch output circuit) between BCM, right multifunction switch and washer pump. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
