Electronic Vehicle Information Center
NOTE:
Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) may also be referred to as overhead console.
The EVIC is located over rear view mirror, attached to headliner. EVIC consists of a mini/trip computer module, electronic compass and thermometer. On some models, EVIC also includes universal remote transmitter. Compass is self-calibrated and requires no adjustment. Messages displayed on EVIC correspond to indicator lights on instrument cluster and chime operation. See CHIME SYSTEM . EVIC can display the following information:
- Compass direction.
- Elapsed time.
- Outside ambient temperature.
- Miles/kilometers to empty.
- Average/instant fuel economy.
- Trip odometer.
- Miles/kilometers to service.
- Turn signals on.
- Service required.
- Door/liftgate ajar.
- Low coolant/washer fluid level.
