Power Window Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
Front Door Power Window Switch
The front door power window switch is integral to the door module unit. If the front door power window switch is faulty or damaged, the entire door module unit must be replaced. (Refer to POWER LOCK SYSTEM/DOOR MODULE - REMOVAL).

Rear Door Power Window Switch
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the trim panel from the inside of the rear door.

3. With a small thin-bladed screwdriver, gently pry the snap clips at the sides of the trim panel receptacle for the power window switch on the back of the rear door trim panel and pull the switch out of the receptacle.

INSTALLATION
Front Door Power Window Switch
The front door power window switch is integral to the door module unit. If the front door power window switch is faulty or damaged, the entire door module unit must be replaced. (Refer to POWER LOCK SYSTEM/DOOR MODULE - INSTALLATION).

Rear Door Power Window Switch
1. Position the power window switch to the trim panel switch receptacle on the back of the rear door trim panel.
2. Press the power window switch firmly and evenly into the trim panel switch receptacle. Be certain that both of the switch snap retainers are fully engaged in the receptacle on the back of the trim panel.
3. Reinstall the trim panel onto the inside of the rear door.
4. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
