Low Washer Fluid Message Always On
Possible Causes are:
- WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH
- WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
- BODY CONTROL MODULE
- Diagnose and repair any BCM or Communication DTCs before proceeding with this test. Turn ignition off. Disconnect the Washer Fluid Level Switch harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using the DRBIII(R), select the BODY, BODY COMPUTER, then SENSORS. Using the DRBIII(R), read the Washer Fluid Level Switch voltage. Is the Washer Fluid Level Switch voltage more than 5 volts? If yes, replace the Washer Fluid Level Switch. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect the Washer Fluid Level Switch harness connector. Disconnect the BCM C2 harness connector. Measure the resistance between ground and the Washer Fluid Level Switch Sense circuit. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, repair the Washer Fluid Level Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, replace the Body Control Module. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS.
