Counter Balance Shaft Timing: Notes

Ensure that the engine is at TDC with both camshaft sprocket marks are in the 12 o'clock position. See Fig 1.
Look down the left cylinder gear chain cavity. The timing dot on the counter balance shaft drive gear should be in the 6 o'clock position. See Fig 2.
